Henry J. Michalski Jr. died on February 15, 2021 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital after a 30-year battle with cancer surrounded by his family.
Henry was born on November 27, 1960 in Northampton to Henry J. Michalski Sr. and Mary E. (Latham) Michalski. He is survived by sons Chad, Henry III (Ashley), and Stanley; grandchildren Henry IV, John and Hunter; sisters Betty (Walter), Debbie (Danny) and Maryellen; and grandpups Kelly, Dejo and Lucy, as well as several nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his father Henry Sr.
Henry attended local schools, where he was a two-time wrestling champion and played baseball and soccer. After graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Henry worked locally as a handyman. He was a fan of all New England sports, including the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtic and Revolution, as well as Liverpool F.C. Henry was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting, fishing and camping.
Henry loved to watch his grandkids play baseball and soccer. He loved coaching and passing his knowledge on to the next generations. He loved and was proud of all the kids he coached over the years. He had a knack for knowing how to tell you exactly what needed to be said without saying much at all, and always made his point no matter what. He always said, "Do you want the truth, or do you want me to lie to you."
Services for Henry are private and will take place at the convenience of the family. For online condolences, please visit Czelusniakfuneralhome.com.
