BAILEY FUNERAL HOME
Henry Martel, 90, passed away on April 6, 2022, at the UConn Health Care Center. He was the loving Husband of Mildred (Twombly) Martel.
Henry was born on December 19, 1931 in Bristol, CT to the late Edward Martel and Rose Martel.
Prior to retirement, Henry spent his career working for General Electric.
He is survived by his sons: Paul and Cathy Martel of Coventry, Edward and Susan of Terryville and Mark Martel of Plainville. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his sons: Henry, Jr., Frank and Robert.
The funeral will be held from the Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville on Saturday, April 9th from. 9:00 AM where the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Mercy Church for a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. The family will receive visitors Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Plainville.
Memorial donations can be made in Henry's name to Our Lady of Mercy Church or Wheeler Clinic.
