Henry "Doyle" Hightower, age 74, of Comanche, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on October 28, 2019. After a sudden diagnosis of a brain tumor and immediate surgery, God called his faithful servant home. His unwavering faith sustained him.
Doyle was born August 31, 1945, in Brownwood, to Henry and Ethel (Holmes) Hightower. He attended school in Early and Comanche, graduating from Comanche High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from Tarleton State College in 1968.
Doyle began working for Gore Bros. (who later sold to Hi-Pro Feeds) that same year. He started in dairy management and then moved into the feed office where he procured ingredients. The past twenty years, he worked as a feed formulator. Doyle was a loyal employee for over 51 years.
On May 26, 1972, Doyle married Deborah "Debbie" Lee Cooper. Together they raised two daughters and were active members of East Side Baptist Church. He loved God, his family and the Dallas Cowboys.
Doyle is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Debbie; two daughters and their spouses, Lani and Michael Hallford, Laura and Cassey Jones; grandchildren Tori and Landon Reeves, Dylan Fairchild, Braxton Jones, Bella Jones, Miles Hallford; great-granddaughter Henslee Ann Reeves; and sister, Darlene Causey McEwin.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 1 at 3 p.m. at East Side Baptist Church, Comanche, TX, with Bro. Steven Schulte officiating. He will be laid to rest at Comanche County Garden of Memory Cemetery in a private family service.
