Henry Greene Jr.-also fondly known as "Hank", 80, passed away on September 9, 2024 in Sarasota, FL. He was born July 7, 1944 in Framingham, MA son of the late Henry Greene Sr. and Angela (Adessa) Greene.
Hank grew up in Ashland, MA and was one of four sons in his family. He was a graduate of Ashland High School and later earned his college degree from Suffolk University. Hank married his high school sweetheart, Donna Alves on August 20, 1966. They had two children together, Erin and Casey and raised them in Raymond, NH where Hank and Donna resided for over 40 years. Professionally, Hank was a salesman in the financial field initially with Dunn and Bradstreet and later for Preferred Creditors in MA. Hank was well known in the Raymond community for his active involvement with the Raymond Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) as both a longtime coach and board member. His love of sports and his easy going personality made a perfect fit for cultivating the love of baseball to many children through those years. In his young adult life, Hank enjoyed going hunting through the woods of Vermont. Later in life, Donna and Hank liked travelling to numerous areas in the US including Alaska, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite national parks. They wintered in Nokomis, FL. since 2018. Hank was a lifelong fan of the NE Sports teams, he never forgave the Red Sox for trading "Mookie".
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Michael.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Greene, daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Rick Judge, son, Casey Greene, one grandson who Hank absolutely adored, Aidan Greene-Manning, brother, Leonard Greene, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held and announced at a later date.
