Henry John Franckowski passed away peacefully on July 29, 2021 at Southington Care Center.
He was born to the late Raymond and Anna (Zdunczyk) Franckowski and grew up in Plainville. He attended local schools and the Goodwin Tech Carpentry Program and worked for over 30 years at Hartford Hospital.
He was married to Mary Elizabeth (Whitman) Franckowski on May 21, 1960 and resided in New Britain for 42 years before moving to Bristol in 2001. Henry enjoyed gardening, watching the UConn Huskies Women's basketball team, watching ice skating, and watching old time cop dramas on television, talking to people, wood working, and spending time with his family.
Henry was predeceased by his wife, Mary, and he is survived by three children, Carl Franckowski, and his daughter-in-law, Carol Franckowski, of West Islip, NY, Susan and son-in-law, Jack Lloyd, of Oak Park, Ill., and Moses Cryer, of New Britain, CT. He had three granddaughters, Rebecca Harrison and her husband, Steven Harrison, Sarah Franckowski and Jodie Lloyd.
The family of Henry Franckowski would like to thank Southington Care Center and Franciscan Home Care and Hospice for taking such good care of Henry during his last few months.

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville. A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by committal at St. Joseph Cemetery Plainville.
At the request of the family, anyone who attends the services must wear a mask regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated.
