Helen (Strajkowski) Lizon, wife of the late police officer Edward Lizon, died at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Marianna (Olszewska) and Adam Strajkowski, Helen was a lifelong New Britain resident and a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical School. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member its Ladies Guild. She retired from Fafnir Bearing Co. after 40 years of dedicated service where she was a member of the Fafnir Seniors. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, she leaves her three sons Ned Lizon and wife Jo-Ann, Brian Lizon and wife Joan and David Lizon; her grandsons: Daniel, Bryan, Justin, Kevin, Matthew, Michael and Anthony and her great-granddaughter, Layla. In addition to her parents and her husband, Helen was predeceased by her siblings: Edward Strajkowski, Lucy Harrison, Jean Belas, her twin sister, Claire Kus and her longtime friend and companion, Edward Brusek. There are no public calling hours. She will be laid to rest privately beside her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
