Helen Odell Moses, 83, passed away July 2, 2022 at home in Shoreacres, Texas. She was born August 18, 1938 in Campbelltown, Texas to Aaron Elmo Blankenship and Cloy Odell Auldridge Blankenship. Helen graduated from Pleasanton High School class of 1956 and married Wayne Carol Moses on April 28, 1956. They moved several places throughout South Texas, as Wayne "Moe" began his career working in the Oil Fields. They settled in Edinburg where they raised their family. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church Hargill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Helen enjoyed watching true crime TV and was an avid Astros fan.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 2005, her parents, Elmo and Odell Blankenship, two brothers, Elmo Blankenship Jr. and Billy Wayne Blankenship and sister, Ada Ruth Jansen. Survivors include her three children, Debra Ruth (Bill) Boyd, Carol Marie (Robert) Alexander and Ricky Wayne Moses. Eight grandchildren, Jimmy Wayne (Brittany Andrews) Alaniz, Justin Aaron (Bridget Bond) Alaniz, Stuart Wayne (Claudia) Moses, Heather Renee (Jonathan) Barris, Cheyenne Marie Magill, Trevor Donley (Aricela Marie Alvarez) Moses, Meadow McKenzie (Dalton) Sanders and Brooke Helen Moses. Two great granddaughters, Madelyn Victoria Moses and Hadlee Janell Sanders.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Kreidler Funeral Home Chapel, 314 N. Tenth St., McAllen, Texas 78501. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Valley Memorial Park in Mission, Texas.
