
Helen K Devenney (Garber)
I think in a lot of ways unconditional love is a myth. My mom's the only reason I know it's a real thing.
Helen K. Devenney of West Salem, age 65, died Monday July 21, 2008 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born in Deerpark, Michigan on November 10, 1942, the daughter of Harry and Margaret "Peggy" (Boales) Garber. Helen lived most all of her life in Ashland County, she worked for Headstrom for 22 years and had previously worked for National Latex. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed camping and making crafts.
Survivors include her two sons and daughter in-law; Mark Devenney of Minnesota, Carl and Cyndi Devenney Jr. of Ashland, and her two daughters; Peggy Woodhull and John Fry of Greenwich, and Kathryn Devenney of Ashland. Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, brother Harry "Bill" Garber of Mt. Vernon, and sister and brother in-law Carol and Paul Kauffman of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandchildren Daniel and Danielle Woodhull.
Services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday July 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
