Helen was an avid "Wheel" watcher and a fan of "The Young and The Restless". Her hobbies included bingo; word search; bird watching and purse and shoe shopping.
We celebrate the life of Helen Louise Culbertson. To know her was to be in the presence of a loving and caring "Mother". If you google the word Mother her picture will be here. Helen is survived by her sons, Michael F. Culbertson (Jacquelyn) of Bluffton, SC, Richard W. Culbertson (Diane) of Burlington, IA, and Daniel L. Sheppard (Richard) of Hardeeville, Frances Kay Adams of Hardeeville, and Susan Marie Cunningham (Curtis) of Guyton, GA.; 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Her life revolved around her love for her family. Everything she did was based on the individual needs of her children. She was the first to offer love, support and worry. Her weapons were words of encouragement, a kiss and/or a hug.
Her joy in life could not be expressed by monetary wealth. She measured her wealth by making a large pot of soup and gathering her family to share in her efforts and watch their faces as they consumed her efforts.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
