Helen Margaret Badgley (Brayton), age 88, died April 19, 2021 in Cadillac, MI. Helen was born in Flint, MI September 13, 1932. She was married to her beloved husband Bob for 62 years until his passing on June 3, 2013. She resided in Swartz Creek and Lake Leelanau, MI. She was a graduate of MT. Morris High School. Helen was an accomplished impressionistic artist and taught American Impression for three summers in Giverny, France. She loved to play tennis and go to the beach with her family. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother Jeanette Brayton (McCullough), father Clifford Brayton, daughter Christine Ann Badgley, her sisters Betty LeBeau and Marilyn Eagan, her brother James Brayton and her grandson Patrick John Badgley. Helen had six children; Dennis (Suri) Badgley of Housten, TX, Gregory (Rose) Badgley of Ludington, MI, Mark of Ludington, MI, Tim (Audy) Badgley of Linden, MI, and Janice and Mike of Cadillac, MI. Helen loved her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and her great great grandchildren dearly. Per Helen's request there will not be a funeral service, instead there will be a memorial service at a later date at Good Harbor Bay on the shore of the lake.
