Harvey Rex Kauffman, Jr. died in Bakersfield, 01/04/2021 at the age of 94. Born in Dec of 1926 to Harvey Rex Kauffman and Macle (Pool) near Circleville, Kansas, he graduated from Circleville HIgh School in 1944 and shipped out to serve in WW II. He returned to serve his country again during the Korean conflict.
Rex married the love of his life, Diana May Barnes in 1948 and they lived 69 years together, till her death in 2018. Their first son, Kris, was born while he was in the service. After discharge they returned to Kansas where their second son, Kent, was born. They moved to California soon after and ended up in Bakersfield where they lived the rest of their lives.
Rex wasn't one to make a lot of friends as he was first and foremost a family man. He was honest, hard working and dependable. He could always be relied upon to love, support and nurture his family at all levels.
Rex will be missed by two brothers, Ned & Ted, sister, Linda, son Kris, two grandchildren, Lindsay Bentley and Stephen Kauffman and three great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Diana, his son Kent, two sisters, Maxine and Carol and brother Ray.
Rex and Diana will be laid to rest in the family plot in the Circleville, Kansas Cemetery. There will be no public services.
