Hartl Richard Jones, 93, of Summerville, SC, husband of Martha Ruth Kirker Jones, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Village of Summerville.
Services will be private.
Hartl was born April 10, 1929 and raised in Columbus, OH, a son of the late Emerson Morgan Jones and Wilahmenia Lucks Jones. After marrying Martha Kirker, he honorably served in the United States Army at Fort Smith, AR. Following his service, he moved to Bensenville, IL where he raised his family. Before retirement, he and Martha moved to Summerville where they have lived for 36 years.
In addition to his wife of over 70 years, Martha, Hartl leaves behind his daughter, Bronwyn Leach of Springfield, IL; son, Kirk Jones and daughter-in-law, Melody of Tybee, GA.
