Harold F. (Rick) Vaughn age 78 of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. Harold was born May 4, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Harold Milton and Pearl Irene Vaughn. He married Karen K. Henesse in West Burlington, Iowa on May 4, 1962 and had 2 sons Harold L. Vaughn and Douglas W. Vaughn. Harold served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1961 - 1964. In December of 1967 Harold moved to Wichita Falls, TX to be a manager at Blackmon's Grocery and was a meat cutter for Oscar Meyer. In 1969 he started working for Levi Strauss as a bundle boy and worked his way up to line manager. In 1978 he was promoted to Asst. Plant Manager in San Angelo, TX and in 1983 was promoted to Plant Manager until 1998. Harold retired in 2000 and started working at Tejas MFG and retired from there in 2019. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and G-Pa, he will be greatly missed by all. Harold was a member of Lakeview Bible Church under Pastor R.A. Evans. Some of his hobbies included golf, nascar, Dallas Cowboys, traveling, wood working, collecting Beer Steins. He also enjoyed old cars and working on them. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Karen; son Harold L. Vaughn of Joshua, TX; son Douglas W. Vaughn and wife Cathy of Abilene, TX; brother George Vaughn and wife Anna of Wapello, IA; brother Darrell Vaughn and wife Cheryl of Mt. Pleasant, IA; sister Dalena Vaughn of Mt. Pleasant, IA; 3 grandson's Steven Vaughn and wife T'Auna, Shaun Vaughn of Mansfield, TX and Symon Wedeman and wife Hayley; granddaughter Veronica Vaughn of Joshua, TX; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. An open visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Johnson's Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Harold's life will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 in Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens at 10:00 a.m. with military honors.
