Harold "Hank" Houseman passed away early Monday, October 14, 2024 at the age of 87. A lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio, Hank retired from the Goodyear Tire Plant Protection team after 32 years of dedicated service. He was also known to many as a builder ? of families, friendships, associations, homes and memories. He will be missed by all who knew him. Hank is preceded in passing by his mother Wilda Beryl Adkins, father Wade Houseman and step-father Morris Duncan, brother Wade (Bud) Houseman, Jr. of Akron, sister Joanne & Eugene Molenaur of BuTalo Grove IL, niece Sue Markovich and enduring friends too numerous to name. He is survived by his treasured wife of 64 years Peggy Louise Houseman (Runyon), son Michael Tren Houseman, grandchildren Audrey L. Houseman (Ryan Rimmele), and Duncan M. Houseman of Akron, nieces and nephews Cathy Hesselbien, Eugene Jr (Butch)/Karen Molenaur and Chris/Cathy Molenaur. An avid sportsman, Hank did it all. Skiing, golf, fishing and boating were among his favorites, but he was enthusiastic about any activity where he could spend time with family and friends. A creative soul, Hank built many houses and multi-family homes by hand and was always willing to help others with their projects. A man who could be counted on to be there for everyone. A celebration of life for Hank is planned in Spring 2025 at his beloved Lake Mohawk. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank's name may be made to your favorite charity.
