Harold Eschbaugh Sr., 91, of Salesville, died Sunday (October 10, 2021) at the Countryview Assisted Living Center, Lore City.
He was born July 21, 1930 in Batesville, son of the late Clarence J. Eschbaugh and Leona (Carpenter) Eschbaugh.
Mr. Eschbaugh retired from the US Postal Service, where he had worked in motor vehicle services for many years.
He attended the Salem Baptist Church and the Living Water Fellowship Church.
He liked to talk and visit with people.
Mr. Eschbaugh was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Robert, Richard, and William Eschbaugh; and a sister, Marie Ullman.
He is survived by a son, Harold Eschbaugh Jr. of Salesville; a daughter, Veronica (Jim) Hassig of Canton; a brother, Allen Eschbaugh of Salesville; a sister, Mary Carpenter of Barnesville; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday (October 14, 2021) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
