Harold Eugene (Dean) Earl, 71, of Deming, New Mexico died at 2:56 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021 at University Medical Center of El Paso, TX. He had been ill for 2 weeks. Harold was born on January 19, 1950 in Jackson County to the late Oscar & Leathy (Nowland) Earl. He married Donna Earl and she preceded him death. Harold was a graduate of Medora High School & a U.S. Army Veteran. Over his lifetime he was a Ferrier/Blacksmith and a Truckdriver. He was a great horseshoer and even shoed horses for the movie Dallas.
Survivors include a son, Howard Eugene Earl; a sister, Betty Elliott; brother-in-law, Tom Ed Elkins; sister-in-law, Mary Sturgill; nephews, Leonard Elkins, Frankie Earl, & David L. Elliott; nieces, Donnetta Coats, Edna Elkins, Penny Shelton, Bonnie Hunsucker, & Susan Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Jerald Earl, brother, Franklin Earl, sisters, Lorene Elkins, Martha Fleetwood, Maymie Kiser, and nephews, Tommy Elkins & Jimmy Kiser.
Funeral Services for Harold will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Belk officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Stroke Foundation.
Johnson Funeral Home will be practicing social distancing according to the CDC guidelines and masks are encouraged to be worn during your visit inside the funeral home.
