Harold E. Bailey, 76, of Greeley, passed away on June 20, 2021 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Theodore and Dorothy (Bosworth) Bailey on December 3, 1944 in Garden City, Kansas.
Harold grew up in Ordway, Colorado and attended and later graduated from Crowley County High School. He attended college at Southern Colorado State College in Pueblo then received his Master's Degree from Western State in Gunnison. He taught in Bonneville, Alberta Canada, Ouray, Swink and Merino, Colorado, and then taught middle and high school social studies for over 30 years in Shoshoni, WY.
He loved coaching, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing tennis. Some of his best memories were coaching football, boys and girls basketball and boys and girls track at Shoshoni, Wyoming, where he also served as athletic director. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Harold is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Brad (Robin) Bailey, Gillian Bailey Jones (Tim Jones) and Amanda Bailey; grandchildren, Buck (Ashley) Bailey, Hyrum (Amy) Bailey and Avery Bailey Jones; 2 great grandkids; and sister, Alice (James) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jane and John.
