It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Arthur announces his passing on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 92.
He was born on December 17, 1929 in Littlecreek, West Virginia. Harold served in the U.S. Army from 1945 thru 1948. He started his own Apostolic Church in Wooster, Ohio in the late 70's. Most of his life he played guitar from giving lessons in his home, worship songs at the church and for his family gatherings.
Harold was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church, where he was a very active member and was loved by his church family. He was a very Godly man that loved the Lord with all his heart and was a strong Godly light in each person's life he touched. He was always full of love, smiles, encouragement and prayers for others.
He is preceded in death by his father, Otha Corral Arthur; mother, Amy; wife of 67 years, Donna (North) Arthur; son, David A. Arthur; sister, Oma "Ruth" North and brothers, Otha Corral Arthur Jr. "Robert" (Emma) and Mitchell Arthur.
Harold is survived by his sisters, Joyce (Hunter) Loan and Ruth (Jack) Jackson; brothers-in-law, Robert (Julie) North and Daniel (Judy) Rager; sisters-in-law, Rita (Jack, deceased) Krum and Judy (Chuck, deceased) North; daughter-in-law, Amy Arthur; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was a very special grandpa to his great-nephew, Landan Browning and great-niece, Karsen Browning.
Harold's funeral service will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 at 12 Noon at the Calvary Apostolic Church, 2693 Nesbitt Ave., Akron, Ohio 44319 with Rev. Nelson Carter officiating. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends and family from 11 a.m. until time of service.
