Guadalupe Pablo Salinas went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2021 at the age of 79. The oldest of 5 children, he was born in Goliad, TX on August 16, 1941 to parents Pablo and Agapita Salinas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a hardworking man all his life, who began working part-time at the early age of 11. He was a people person and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed collecting antiques, coins, and many other numerous collectibles. His children and grandchildren were his life and he took every opportunity to ensure their happiness. He was truly happy when his family came to visit. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elida R. Salinas; his daughters, Elvira Gonzalez (Raymond), Sonia Salinas Jones (Spenc); his son Roy Salinas; his grandchildren, Michelle Gonzalez, Raymond Gonzalez (Amanda), Ricky Gonzalez (LeAnne), JoeMichael Salinas, Nicholas Jones, and Bradley Jones; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loving friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Agapita Salinas, along with his siblings Adan Salinas, Eva Hooks, Israel Salinas, San Juanita Salinas, and son Lupe Salinas Jr. Rosary to be recited January 29, 2021 at 7:00PM, Moore Funeral Home in Refugio, TX. Funeral Mass will be held January 30, 2021 at 10:00AM, St. Therese Catholic Church in Woodsboro, TX with interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery. In accordance with CDC safety precautions, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at the funeral home, church, and cemetery.
