Guadalupe Delgado Ybarra, 89, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Lupita, as she was affectionately known to all was a native and lifetime resident of Brownsville. Lupita together with her late husband Manuel were the owners/operators of Ybarra Tire Shop for 55 years.
In her spare time, Lupita enjoyed gardening and tending to her rose bushes. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and Chalupa and spending time with her family.
Lupita was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Lupita was preceded in death by her parents: Maria Del Jesus and Luis Delgado; her husband, Manuel Ybarra Jr., a son, Luis Ybarra; a daughter, Alma Ybarra Vasquez; a granddaughter, Daniela Vicktoria Ybarra; and 3 sisters: Juanita Loya, Maria Luisa Gonzalez, and Gloria Pi?a.
Lupita is survived by her children: Manuel (Rachel) Ybarra III, Mary (Eduardo) Ybarra Martinez, Diana Ybarra (Juan Sosa), Ruben D. (Nelda) Ybarra, Lupita Ybarra, and Daniel "Danny" (Lidia) Ybarra. Lupita will also be missed by her 15 grandchildren, 33 grandchildren, 16 great-great-children along with numerous extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 and continue through 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln St. Committal services will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Jacinto Vasquez Jr., Arturo Ortiz Jr., Ruben Ybarra Jr., Luis Ybarra Jr., Juan Gracia IV, Devin Daniel Trevi?o, Peter Ryan Vasquez, and Ruben Ybarra III are honored to be serving as pallbearers for their beloved grandmother.
Manuel Ybarra III, Ruben D. Ybarra, Daniel Ybarra, Manuel Antonio Ybarra, Carlo Ybarra, Isaac Daniel Morales, and Jason Edward Ortiz will serve as honorary pallbearers.
