Gregory C. Walker 79, a longtime resident of Keene, NH, passed away on December 16, 2024, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH.
His parents, Robert H. and Sara G. (Hier) Walker welcomed their son into the world on December 28, 1944, in Middlebury, Vermont. Gregory grew up in Bellows Falls, VT and was a 1962 graduate of Bellows Falls High School.
A resident of Keene since 1967, Gregory worked for fifty years as a press foreman with the Keene Sentinel.
He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard and was a longtime member of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Post #4 in Keene.
Gregory helped coach his kid's softball and baseball teams. He was an avid golfer, skier and loved to water ski. He enjoyed creating special memories camping with his family, traveling and taking many cruises with his wife, Patricia.
He will be greatly missed by many in our community, especially his wife of 57 years, Patricia M. (Patnaude) Walker of Keene; his children, Kelly Fleuette and her husband, Remi, of Keene, Keith Walker of Charleston, SC, Kristopher Walker of Stewartstown, NH; his grandchildren, Rochelle Ingle and her husband, Colt, Xavier Walker, Jian-Casey Capuccino Walker-Sao, Max Walker, Dakota Walker, Connor Walker, Mia Walker, Brynn Walker, Skyla Walker, Isabelle Fleuette, Camille Fleuette, Garbrielle Fleuette; his great-grandchildren, Archer Ingle, Sailor Walker, Kora Walker; his brothers, Robert Walker of Hinsdale, NH, Mike Walker and his wife, Cheryl, of Williston, VT, Patrick Walker and his wife, Pam, of Cummings, GA; Patricia's brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A sister-in-law, Judy Walker, wife of Robert, predeceased him.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00am in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene. Burial will be in the spring in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene.
