Grant Durst, age 37, passed away November 6, 2019. This was written by Grant as an assignment for Drug Court. He was well liked by many. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Deborah and Steve Field; sister and husband, Kelsey Brooks and Doug and children, Logan and Beckett; aunt, Tracy Blake; cousins, Dakota Blake, Rio Blake, Seth Blake, Brittany Chipps; aunt, Jen Emahiser; cousins, Al Emahiser, Andraya Emahiser, Mitch Emahiser, Lexi Emahiser. He was involved in baseball and loved it. He also enjoyed skateboarding and tattooing. He was good at making people laugh and smile. At the end of the day the disease of addiction overran his thoughts and ran down his spirit to murder him in a room with no one else despite the ones he could have called or been with that loved him. His train of thoughts could have switched but his stubbornness comfortable in thoughts not prevailing in positive light doomed him. He is a man of God, so we know he is in Heaven. May he help guide us and watch over us in a direction he knew, but did not hold steadfast to his morals and was swayed. But in the darkness that his heart allowing sway his actions. Therefore, if you are immensed in addiction use your tools not the dope. Amen! Rest in Love and Peace Dear Grant!
