Andrews, Grace C., age 94 of 5676 Penn Av., passed away Wednesday afternoon at the home of her oldest grandson, George Richard Lewis of Vandalia. Born in Watertown N.Y. on Mar. 10, 1885. She moved to Dayton with her parents Chester and Mary Grace Potter in 1890 and settled in the East End. She was active as a young person in helping establish Memorial Reformed Church in 1895 now Memorial United Church of Christ and for a few years until her death was the oldest member of the congregation. After 30 yrs. service, she retired from Monarch Marking System Co. in 1960. Mrs. Andrews was also a very interested member of the Republican Party. Preceding her in death was her daughter and son-in-law Mary Grace and George Lewis, granddaughter, Norma Jean Lewis and son Forrest E. Andrews. She is survived by a daughter Jean and son-in-law Harold Jones; a daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Andrews, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and friends. There will be no viewing. Funeral services will be held at Memorial United Church of Christ, 2338 E. Fifth St. at 1 p.m. Saturday November 24th, with the Rev. Edward A. Puff officiating. Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be aide to the to the Grace Andrews Fund, at the Memorial United Church of Christ. Arrangements by Morris Sons Funeral Home.
