Grace Figliola, 97, passed away peacefully February 20, 2021 at Maplewood Senior Living in Cuyahoga Falls, after a tough battle with Covid. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews who were blessed to have had her in their lives.
Grace was the sweetest person you would ever want to meet with the most calming and tolerant personality. When chaos and craziness surrounded her, Grace was the soft voice of reason. She worked hard all her life, cared about other people, and was an avid reader until her eyesight no longer afforded her that pleasure. She worked at PPG for 40 years and worked part-time at Halle's department store.
Grace would love when friends and family came to visit, her face would light up and was very appreciative of any act of kindness shown to her. Grace was quiet, to a fault, about her struggles, aches and pains even when pressed. It was hard to know if Grace was ever ill.
She was a dedicated church supporter at St. Sebastian and St. Hilary and she also enjoyed traveling the globe in her younger years.
Grace had a good heart, she volunteered for many years raising money for Children's Hospital and selling tickets for theHarness Races with her sister Carmel by her side. Countless hours were spent at the dining room table doing all of the accounting of all tickets that were sold!
