Goldie Mae Poole, 64, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 surrounded by her family. Goldie was born May 6, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Charles and Imogene Campfield.
She married Kenneth Poole on June 8, 1974 and he survives. Goldie and Kenny were members of Hope House of Prayer in Hope, Indiana, and enjoyed bowling together with their local bowling league.
Goldie worked at Dorel Juvenile Group for 35 years and was planning to retire in May. She enjoyed shopping, especially at yard sales; but more than anything, she loved spending time with her grandbabies. Family was at the center of Goldie's world. She had a warm heart and a kind soul, and always made sure her family was taken care of before anything else.
Goldie is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Poole; her children, Kenny (Sharie Hickman) Poole, Justin Poole, Chris Campfield, and Barbara (Scott) Wright; her grandchildren, Josh, Kaleb, Luke, and Sammy Poole, and Lilly and Nikki Hickman; her brothers, Rick (Jennifer Buchanan), and Chester Campfield; and her sister, Naomi (aka Joyce) Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Campfield; and her sister, Annie Bridgewater.
A funeral service for Goldie will be held Saturday, April 2 at 10 am at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Rick Leonard officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may gather for visitation on Friday, April 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
