Gloria Ann Quayle
Gloria was able to live out her wish to spend her last days in her home. There she enjoyed watching her religious programs on TV and guests
Gloria Ann Quayle, age 90, passed away peacefully January 23, 2019 at her home overlooking the Portage Lakes channel. She lived her entire life in the house where she was born to Walter & Elizabeth Quayle on October 10, 1928. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister Barbara.
Gloria was educated at the University of Akron and became an elementary teacher for the Akron Public Schools. She retired from Firestone Park Elementary School after many years of helping children learn the '3 R's'.
After retirement, she volunteered at Children's Hospital, participated in a book club, and helped the church in various capacities. She was a member at Crossroads Bible Fellowship (now Crossview Church) where she sang in the choir. Gloria gave to many charities that promoted the presentation of the Gospel, especially, Liberty University and The Jesus Film Project.
She leaves behind her guardians, Richard & Meg Messenger, friends Nancy Somosko, Nancy McDonald, Sandy & Bill Bradcovich, Greg & Rene Sherwin, and Pastor Russ & Linda Heiser. She was lovingly cared for by her care-givers from Home Helpers--many thanks to you all for helping her complete her journey at home.
