Gloria Packard Fisher, 74 of Hinsdale, N.H. formerly of Leyden, Mass. died Friday (12-25-20-20) at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Norwood, Ma. on November 10, 1946 the daughter of Leroy and Mildred (Patten) Packard. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1964. She then attended McCann LPN program finishing in 1965. She continued her education at Berkshire Community College earning as AD in Nursing in 1969, and then on to St. Jospeh's College receiving a BS in health care administration in 1989. She co-facilitated Parents Anonymous in Greenfield with her husband Wayne for many years. She is a Past HIgh Priestess of Nile Court #94 of Ladies Oriental Shrine on North America and served many years as the courts recorder and served several years as honorary aide to the Grand Council of LOSNA. She served the town of Leyden for several years as chairman of the board of health. She enjoyed quilting, crafts and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend Wayne Fisher of Hinsdale, NH and sons Eugene Poirier of North Carolina, Eric Poirier of Mass. and Daniel Fisher of Greenfield, MA. She is also survived by three step children Sherri Wormwood of Maine, Mark Fisher of South Carolina, and Morgan Lord of Mass. Nineteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Poirier, and her siblings, Mae, Rose, Allen, Royce, Richard, and Robert.
There will be a graveside service in North Cemetery, Sunderland, Ma. in the spring at a time to be announced.
