Gloria DeFrancisco Rye, 92, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Monroe Regional Hospital, following a brief illness. The youngest of 13 children, Gloria was born November 8, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York, to Louis and Felicia DeFrancisco. She married Guy Watkins Rye and moved to Aberdeen, Mississippi, in 1962.
Mrs. Rye was a homemaker who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, and playing Bingo. One of her many joys was cooking Italian food for her family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen. Survivors include her children, Lisa Warnick, Guy Rye (Dee), and Theresa Johnson (James), as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Sandy Rye, grandson Nicholas Herring,.
The funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church , Aberdeen, Mississippi with Father Tim Murphy officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of the services.
Pallbearers will be the family.

Though Gloria will be greatly missed by her family and friends, the family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace and no longer struggling to stay with them. She will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, good heart, and witty spirit.
