Glennice Edith Perrigo, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Cherry Hill Haven in Traverse City, Michigan. She was 82.
Glennice was born on April 3, 1942 to Barney and Glennice (Parker) Harris in Lake City, Michigan. She was a graduate of Lake City High School, Class of 1960. Glennice began her career working at Wedin Corportation in Cadillac for 20 years. She then spent the remainder of her career working for the Missaukee County Road Commission, until her time of retirement in 2007. On May 2, 1964 she entered into marriage with William Erwin Perrigo in Lake City, Michigan. She was a faithful member of the Lake City Church of Christ. In her spare time, she could often be found quilting or playing cards. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Glennice is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Perrigo; two daughters, Marsha (Bill) Heck of Ohio, and Tari Ann (Ben) McClure of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Chase (Victoria) Heck, Connor Heck, Avery Terpstra, and Finn McClure; sisters, Louise (Daryl) Laughlin, Patricia (Dave) Brown, Sandra Neidig, and Joyce (Bill) LeClair; a brother, Bucky Harris; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Harris and Bonnee Elston; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Glennice Harris; sisters, Janice Harris and Marsha Harris; brother, Bernard "Bud" Harris; and two brothers-in-law, Milt Neidig and Bob Elston.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Young-Holdship Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Lake City Cemetery in the spring.
