Glenn E. Phillips entered the gates of heaven to meet His Lord on December 21st, 2020. Since his birth on September 29, 1965, he lit up every room for the past 55 years. Glenn graduated from Wrens High School and served the faculty, staff and students at Wrens Middle School for over 32 years where he retired in May 2019. For a number of years, Glenn joined others at Camp Joy where he was celebrated as he made lifetime friends. Glenn enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, decorating for every holiday of which Christmas was his favorite. Glenn had an extensive collection of holiday memorabilia including special recipes of which Glenn loved to bake and share with friends and family. He was always the first to remind everyone of important dates and reminisce about good times around the table. Glenn shared more than family recipes. He shared unconditional love and laughter and exemplified all the fruits of the spirit. When anyone encountered Glenn, they were lifted by his generosity, authentic personality and warm embrace.
He lived with his parents Margie Gay Phillips and Jack Phillips and survived by his brother, Greg Phillips and his family, Debbie and Anna Scott Phillips. His extended family includes cousins, Jeff and Jim Gay. A celebration of life will be held outdoors at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 27th, 2020 at Wrens Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Carson Fellows will officiate the service. The family strongly encourages social distancing and face masks. Memorial gifts may be made to Wrens Baptist Church's Greater Things Fund.
