Glenn H. Lovell, 84, of West Gill Rd., passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He is finally re-united with his wife of 55 years, Pamela, who passed on May 31, 2018.
Glenn was born in East Templeton, MA on May 7, 1936 the son of Clarence and Alberta (Hall) Lovell. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict for four years.
Glenn learned how to drive a truck as soon as he could reach the pedals, and did so his entire life. He retired from the United Farmers Co-Op in East Deerfield after many years on the road.
Survivors include two sons; John Lovell and his wife Rachel of Malta, NY, Richard Lovell and his wife Natsuko of Oak Harbor, WA, a daughter Julie Beres and her husband Jim of Greenfield, a brother Kenny Lovell and his wife Janice of Templeton, MA, two sisters; Irene Surrett of Ellington, CT, Marian Duvall and husband Ron of Belfree, OH, six grandchildren; Jason Lovell of Punta Gorda, FL, Joshua (Vanessa) Lovell of Oregon City, OR, Amy (Nick) Brazelton of Lake Stephen, WA, Lina Lovell of Lake Forest, CA, Matthew Beres of Chelmsford, MA and Kellie Beres of Westfield, MA, six great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Glenn's family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Pioneer Valley Hospice, most especially nurse Kelly for her compassionate and knowledgeable care to Glenn in the short time he was in need. Also, a thank you to the doctors who cared for Glenn over the past few years.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
