DOWNEY-Glenn Downey, age 91 of Dacula, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday May 18, 2024 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Kuykendall officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park, 925 Hwy 29 S, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Glenn was a Korean War Veteran and a Member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He retired from Ford Motor Company with 31 years of service. He was a longtime Music Director at University Baptist Church in Brookhaven. Glenn was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah Elizabeth Downey; parents, Boyd H. and Florence Green Downey; brothers, Ralph, Robert and Stanley Downey; sister, Bessie Howell; daughter-in-law, Debra Downey. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Andy Downey, Steven and Pattie Downey, Tim Downey, grandchild, Stephanie Downey; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Samantha and Brett Berry; grandchildren, Madison Downey, Jessica Downey; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Wesley and Cassie Downey; grandchild, Ruby Downey; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Nathan and Melissa Downey; great-grandchildren, Cali Evans, Olivia Downey, London Golden, Ezra Downey, Gracelyn Downey, Ema Downey, Blake Downey, Harper Downey and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5 PM till 8 PM and on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 9 AM till 10 AM prior to the service at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. 770.962.3100.
