Glenda Yancey Tomes, 78, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 30, 2021.
She was a much loved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Most of all she loved God and loved people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Tomes, and daughters Gina Denham and Beth Martell.
She is survived by her sisters, Gwen Hall and Janice Wilson, her brother and sister-in-law Comer and Cookie Hudgens, her son and daughter-in-law Kevin Yancey and Lana Mendenhall, daughter Elizabeth Wagoner, and daughter and son-in-law Katrina and Scott Patterson.
Her love and legacy will live on in her family, including her 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by numerous other individuals she gathered to herself and loved through the years. She loved and lived every moment of her life.
The memorial service will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Kingdom Church, 3002 E University, Odessa, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at Crescent Park Baptist Church, and the entrance is on the Jim Parker Park side of the church.
