Mrs. Glenda O'Briant "Lou Lou" Corbett, 76, of Gloverville, SC, wife of the late Freddie Corbett, Sr., entered into rest in the comfort of her home, on Friday, September 16, 2022.
A lifelong area resident and a graduate of LBC High School, she was a daughter of the late Lathan and Nora Bradley O'Briant. Her thirty-three-year career with the United States Post Office, took her to the Gloverville Post Office for eight years and to the Bath Post Office for twenty-five years. She enjoyed collecting arrowheads, fishing, gardening with Freddie, Sr. and cooking. "Lou Lou" loved being with her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved her twin sister, Sue and "Lou Lou" where inseparable.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members included her children, Freddie B. Corbett, Jr. (Kristie) Beech Island, SC and Freida Corbett, (Bruce Yaun) Beech Island, SC; sister, Linda Sue Holtsizer, Gloverville, SC; grandchildren, Mitchell Waters (Jessica), Garrett Reese Corbett, (Kasey) Reagan Lynn Corbett and Freddie Brenson Corbett, a great-grandchild, Charlie Waters and let is not forget, Freida and Bruce's child, Lucy Lou.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 5 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastors Vadra Wertz and Bill Branch will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Raymond Bailey, Wade Baker, Raymond Turner, Keith Morris, Jacob O'Briant, Danny Shealey and Peyton Minor.
It has been asked that if so desired, memorials be made to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare. (www.letlovelive.org)
