Gladys Emma Lindgren, 92 year old resident of Hillman, MN passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, March 24, 2025 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls surrounded by all her boys and many grandchildren. There will be a 10:00 AM visitation with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church located at 36055 213th Street Hillman, MN 56338 with Rev. Kari Pancoast officiating. Burial will occur at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal, MN. Caring for Gladys and her family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls, MN.
Gladys Lindgren was born at home in Osseo, MN on September 16, 1932 to the late Louie William Jentsch and Marie Martha Jentsch (Adam). She attended School at North High School in Minneapolis, MN and went on to be a dental assistant with Dr. Parker on West Broadway. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation from the Charles T. Miller School of Practical Nursing in St. Paul, MN in 1956 and went on to work for North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN as well as Onamia Hospital and Home with the Franciscan Sisters in Onamia, MN and the Pierz Villa in Pierz for nearly 50 years before officially retiring. She continued to serve with the Richardson Twp. Lakes Area Lions District 5M-8, and with the Senior Companion volunteer program with Lutheran Social Services of Little Falls MN. Gladys Lindgren married Robert Wayne Lindgren on July 13, 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents; Louie and Marie Jentsch, daughter; Brenda Lindgren, Live in babysitter; Jackie Selander, Husband (Divorced); Robert Lindgren and her sister; Lavina Olson of New Brighten, MN.
Gladys Lindgren is survived by her siblings; brother, Art Jentsch of Brainerd, MN and sister, Darlene (Buzz) Myers; as well as her four boys, Bruce Lindgren of Hillman, MN, Brian (Julie Kirkvold) Lindgren of Hillman, MN, Bradley (Joyce Virnig) Lindgren of Hillman, MN and Brent (Lisa Ortman) Lindgren of Hillman, MN. Gladys Lindgren is also survived by her cherished 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Gladys Lindgren enjoyed living on Platte Lake and in her younger years liked to water ski, go boating, fishing, and spending time with her kids and she enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley's music. Gladys dedicated her career to helping others both in her professional and private life. She lived a full, beautiful life and will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. A big thank you to everyone who celebrated life with Gladys Lindgren.
