Gladys Napier, 93, of Waverly, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7, 2022. She passed peacefully at Adena Pike Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
She was born January 15, 1929 in Wayne County, WV, to Charley and Lumey Ramey. In 1956 she married Ralph Napier, who preceded her in death in 2010. Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church of Waverly, OH, where she thoroughly enjoyed the Beatitudes Sunday School while she was still able to attend.
Gladys is survived by her four daughters: Connie (Dane) Knight of Woodstock, GA; Cathy (Joseph) Brown of Waverly, OH; Joann Napier of Waverly, OH; and Justine (Jeff) Burris of Clarksville, TN. Gladys and Ralph were blessed with nine grandchildren: Jill Knight of Florence, SC; Joy Knight of Reston, VA; Gabriel (Sheena) Brown of Chillicothe, OH; Chelsea Brown of Chillicothe, OH; Desiree (Jay) Beekman of Waverly, OH; Kyle (Bethany) Williams of Waverly, OH; Adrian (Ashley) Burris of Hendersonville, TN; Jeremy (Cate) Burris of Huntsville, AL; and Nathaniel (Kayla) Burris of Huntsville, AL. They were further blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren: Scott Lightle, Grace Lightle, Nic Lightle, Jenna Lightle, Montana Beekman, Cody Beekman, Isabelle Brown, Ethan Brown, Parker Williams, Kathryn Williams, Dakota Burris, Landon Burris, Mason Burris, and Heath Burris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and ten siblings.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, WV, with Rev. Jeff Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV.
The family will receive friends 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, OH, and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, WV.
