Gladys Jean Kercheval, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, MS. Dr. John Temple officiated.
Gladys was born on June 4, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, to Mildred and Adolf Zolman. Gladys enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking delicious meals for her family, swimming and vacations to the beach. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her family gathered around her home and a large meal shared by all. Many will remember Gladys for being elected and serving the great city of Moscow, Tennessee as Mayor for four years.
Gladys Kercheval is survived by her three children, Rhonda (Larry) Wade of Ashland, Kenneth P. (Karen) Kercheval of Meridian, MS and Bradley (Tonya) Kercheval of Olive Branch; sister, Hope Ellen Rodeheaver of Kingwood, WV; eight grandchildren, Rex J. Brown, Hadley (Corbin) McOlgan, Alexis C. Kercheval, Jackson (Jamie) Kercheval, Caroline G. Kercheval, Logan Ryan Kercheval, LCpl Brett Kercheval and Spencer Kercheval, two great-grandchildren and beloved father to her children, Phra E. Kercheval.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Campbell and Adolf Frank Zolman and step-father, Jennings Brian Campell.
