Giselle Terez Pasamonte-De Schepper, a loving, courageous, and confident mother, wife, sister, daughter, niece, aunt, cousin and much more to many in her community passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2022, along with Gianna Milan who Giselle carried lovingly in her womb for eight months.
Giselle was born March 3, 1987, to Teresa Orpilla and Renato Pasamonte, in Harbor City, California. She lived all throughout southern California growing up with her parents and younger brother, Armand Pasamonte. No matter where she resided, Giselle always had loved ones by her side to support and shape her love of learning, music, being adventurous, being a foodie, having friends, giving back, and most importantly, family.
After graduating from Quartz Hill High School in Lancaster, California, Giselle chose to attend the prestigious Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and International Relations. During her special time at Mount Holyoke, she formed lifelong friends from the dorm rooms to the choir chambers to the study abroad program in Seville, Spain.
Giselle served as a Team Leader for LeadAmerica for two years to help high school students with their academics and leadership skills. As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay for three years, she advocated tirelessly for the environment and HIV/AIDS prevention. After her stint with the Peace Corps, Giselle found her calling to assist families by planning and meeting their financial and retirement goals as a licensed advocate in the insurance and financial industries.
Giselle was a part of many communities, whether it was with new mothers, a book club, BNI Ventura County, Firearms for Females in training sessions, the local choir, or a quilting group. She also loved meeting people, baking, and learning about other cultures through her love of travel. She was adventurous and excelled at all that life had to offer her. Most of all, she loved being a wife and mother.
Giselle married the love of her life, Sebastian De Schepper, on August 27, 2016, and together, built a family with sons, Mason and Syrus, who are her greatest legacy. She was most proud of being a mother, sharing her most cherished values - love, kindness, and compassion - with not just her family, but extended to the many important friendships she has nurtured over the course of her life.
Giselle is survived by her husband, Sebastian, sons, Syrus and Mason, mother, Maria Teresa Pasamonte, and brother, Armand Jerel Pasamonte.
