Giacoma "Mimi" Paparella Mancini of Weehawken, passed away on Thursday July 21, 2022. She would have been 92 years old on August 10th. Born in Molfetta, Bari, Italy to Cosimo Paparella and Rosa Rana. She was married to the late Gaspare Mancini (2005). Together they immigrated with their three daughters to the United States in the 1960’s, settling in Weehawken. She was a master seamstress.
Mimi is survived by her loving children; Giovanna De Nichilo (late husband Giocchino) Rosa Mancini Delle Torri, and Grazia Mancini Introna and her husband Leonard. Treasured Nonna of, Giovanna De Nichilo-Scimeca and her husband John, Jaclyn De Nichilo and her husband Loris Alaverdian, Michael De Nichilo, Steven De Nichilo, Alana Introna, Nico Delle Torri, and Stefanie Delle Torri, as well as Bisnonna of; Matthew, Peter, Jack, and Nina.
Loving sister of Lucrezia Paparella and Anna Paparella. Predeceased by her twin sister Lucrezia, and sisters; Antonia, Maria, Maria Consiglia, Nina, and her "soul sister" Theresa Mancini. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Liturgy from St. Francis RC Church in Hoboken on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 11:30am. Entombment will be private at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
