Mrs. Gertrude "Ann" Emiliani Ross, 88, a resident of Tylertown, died at her residence on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born October 25, 1933 in Galveston, Texas the daughter of the late Edgar and Gertrude West Emiliani. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jameson Paul St. Romain and a Great grandson, Dilan Cohen Squires. Mrs. Ross grew up in New Orleans and was a graduate of Martin Berhman High School in Algiers, Louisiana. She danced as a Sugarette in the 1951 Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. She was a dressmaker, a quilter, loved music and dance. She followed her husband, James around the world as he served in the United States Air Force for 21 years and made friends everywhere and was dearly loved by all. She had an active imagination and savvy sarcasm. She loved Jesus and taught many to love Him. She taught Sunday School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris, Tennessee and started the children's ministry, Wacky Wednesday. She loved music and playing the piano and sang beautifully. Mrs. Ross was very talented in many ways and passed her talents to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will miss her quick wit and beautiful voice. Mrs. Ross is survived by her husband, James Ross, Jr. of Tylertown; one son, Dennis Ross (Sarah Hawkins Ross) of Tylertown; five Daughters, Denise Goodwin of LaPlace, Louisiana, Diane Magoon (Bruce Magoon) of Centerville, Tennessee, Trudy Ann Ross of Tylertown, Lynda Ross (Cole Hamley) of East Dubuque, Illinois, and Jami Lyn Ross of Metairie, Louisiana; one sister, Peggy Emiliani; 16 Grandchildren, 29 Great-grandchildren, and 4 Great-great grandchildren.
