Jean passed away at home on May 11, 2022. She was born in Kelso, Washington and raised in Eatonville. Although she was an only child, she never felt like one as she spent lots of time with her cousins. In high school, Jean did cheerleading, tennis, band, and was crowned May Day Queen in 1955. After graduating high school, Jean moved to Marysville to attend junior college, whereafter she met her husband, Dave, and raised her family in Lake Stevens. Jean was an avid sports fan, churchgoer, gardener, Democrat, and cherished spending time with her family. She showed her love through food, and many fondly remember her wonderful cooking. Jean was preceded in death by parents Harry and Nellie Monson and husband David Anderson Sr. She is survived by her children Gayle (Ti), Martin (Dawn), and Davey, grandchildren Crystal, Kenny (Patty), Cody, Jackey (Chris), and Blake (Shay), seven great-grandchildren who she adored, and Big Dog. She was one of the most loving and generous people in this world, and she is so dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held Sunday July 10th 2-5 pm, at the Marysville Historical Society 6805 Armar Rd, Marysville, WA 98270. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local food bank.
