Port St Lucie, FL - Germaine Flavia (McCabe) Paquette, 94, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Jensen Beach, FL, Rockland, Abington, and Eastham MA, a retired Homemaker, District Manager Royal Plastics of America-Providence RI, Insurance Agent-Chase Insurance, W. Harwich MA. died on Tuesday August 30, 2022, in Ft. Pierce Treasure Coast Hospice.
Mrs. Paquette was a member of St. Bridget's Church, Abington, MA, Church of the Visitation, Eastham, MA, Holy Family Church, Port St. Lucie, FL, Women's Guild of the Church of Visitation/CCW, Insurance Women of Cape Cod Chapter, Martin County Quilters Guild, Treasure Coast Quilters Guild, Savanna Club Piece Makers, and a Greeter/Usher at Holy Family Church.
Mrs. Paquette was an avid quilter, teacher, and mentor for the area quilters. It was an incredible joy of hers to create such wonderful works of art. She volunteered her time and gifted quilts to Project Linus, Care Net, and local area Veterans.
Mrs. Paquette was born in Brockton MA, grew up in Rockland MA, raised her family in Abington and Eastham MA until retiring to Florida in 1990. She is predeceased by her husband Clifford N. Paquette, her son Edward Paquette (MD), and her sister Ann McCabe MacDonald (MA).
She is survived by daughter Charlene Estes-Blasingame and husband Sonny Blasingame (FL), son David Paquette and wife Debbie Paquette (MA), son Ernest Paquette and wife Deb Paquette (TN), and daughter Suzanne Paquette Brodersen and husband Mark Brodersen (GA). Mrs. Paquette also had 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 2pm at Savanna Club Cove Clubhouse. She will also be celebrated on Cape Cod TBD 2023.
