Geraldine Elizabeth Toole, 76, of Columbus, passed away on May 4, 2023. She was born in Lancaster, South Carolina to James B. Stone, and Gladys Rebecca Clark Stone on August 27, 1946. She was the wife of Robert L. Toole Jr. whom she married on June 6, 1965.
Geraldine was a successful cosmetologist for many of her working years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and Flintwood Wesleyan Church in Columbus, Indiana. Her favorite pastime was being with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Toole Jr., of Columbus, Indiana; sons, Robert L. (Whitney) Toole III, of Louisville, Kentucky, and James Cory (Kristina) Toole, of Columbus, Indiana; daughter, Melissa Ann (Chuck) Sullivan, of Ruby, South Carolina; grandchildren, Michael Blake Toole, Elizabeth Brooke Haywood, Lacey Nicole Reichle, Cian Elliott Toole, Jillian Kate Toole, Quialan Nathaniel Toole, Anna Claire Toole, Madalin Grace Toole, Claudia Rose Toole, Megan Elizabeth Toole, Abby Grace Toole, Scarlett Lynn Toole, Cory Wyatt Toole, Tucker James Toole, Decklan Robert Toole, and Simon Darrell Toole; and great-grandchildren, Cameron Michael Toole, Elizabeth Amelia Toole, Brooklyn Michelle Igleheart, Gavin Heath Small, Lilly Grace Small, Johnny Kyle Pearson, Maddison Nicole Reichle, and Emma Rae Reichle.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James B., and Gladys R. Stone; brother, James Crawford Stone; and sister, Brenda Diane Roberts.
The funeral service will be held at 5 PM on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Flintwood Wesleyan Church in Columbus, Indiana with Rev. Wes Jones officiating the service. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour before the service time at the church Tuesday. Geraldine will be buried at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Great Falls, South Carolina, at a later date.
