MIGLETZ (nee Famor) Geraldine "Gerri" Age 82 of Burnsville, returned to the Lord peacefully on January 9, 2022 from complications battling lymphoma.
Gerri was born July 11, 1939 in Youngstown, OH. She attended Youngstown State University and married her beloved husband Denny Migletz, also of Youngstown, in 1960. They were blessed with 2 daughters and then moved to Cleveland and were blessed with 2 more.
A transfer took them to Columbus, OH where Gerri worked preparing taxes and then started a new career with Nationwide Insurance. She went back to college before they were transferred to MN where she began a new career in hotel sales & catering, then transitioned into real estate where she had a long career before retiring.
Gerri loved to live & lived to love! She especially enjoyed her travels all around the world meeting others, but her most treasured trips were with her family & friends. She was most passionate about her Faith, Family, & Friendships, and took every opportunity to make sure they knew how blessed she was to have them all!
Gerri is survived by her daughters; Denise (Layne) Chapple, Linda (Michael) Perry, Karen (James) Sher, & Lisa Migletz. Grandchildren; Courtney, Calli, Chase, Nichole (Alec), Rachael, George, Joseph, & Marie. Sisters; Betty Ostmeyer, & Carole (Greg) Speero, Brother-in-law; Gerald (Paulette) Migletz, and several nieces & nephew. Gerri will be missed my many including her beloved companion (dog), Toby.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 1/2 years; George Dennis Migletz, Parents: George & Mary Famor, Brother: George "Bobby" Famor, Brother-in-law; Joseph Ostmeyer, and niece; Michele Migletz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 County Rd. 42 E, Burnsville, MN at 11:00am, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Lymphoma Society or the Animal Humane Society.
Gerri will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
