Geraldine "Geri" (McGinn) Trillo, 87, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Sunday (July 17, 2022) in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo C. Trillo, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage and gracefully cared for him during his 11 year battle with Alzheimer's. Geri was born on June 25, 1935 in Bristol, daughter of the late Joseph H. McGinn, Sr. and Gertrude (Matthews) McGinn. Taking care of people was one of her passions along with listening to music and dancing every week. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew's Church, treasured her roses and hydrangeas and wouldn't leave the house without putting her lipstick on. During the summer months she enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on the lake. She loved gathering there to spend time with family and friends. To her, the lake was a place for everyone to have fun and leave your everyday worries behind. You could always find her on the porch swing enjoying the day. Geri will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her husband, children and family, her great sense of humor, her zest for life, and her vivacious spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Geri and Angelo raised 5 children; Kim Trillo Easter and Lori Tabacco of Bristol, CT, Jeri Steinbrenner (Tom) of Newbury Park, CA, Kevin Trillo (Theresa) of Bon Secour, AL, and Douglas Trillo (Natalie) of Southington, CT. In addition to her children she leaves 8 grandchildren; Nikki, Casey, Marin, Megan, Kevin, Jennifer, Kasen and Brynn, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Cassolino, Brother Robert McGinn, sisters-in-law, Nancy McGinn and Ann Manware and her longtime companion Bruno Siwik. Besides her husband, Geri was preceded in death by brother's William and Joseph McGinn. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 9 AM from O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln, Ave., Bristol, CT to St. Matthew Church, Bristol for a mass of Christian burial at 10 AM, followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
