Kugler, Geraldine "Jean" Geraldine Frances Kugler (Wertz), age 91, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022. Jean was born October 7, 1931 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Balzar and Emma Wertz (Knaub). She is preceded in death by her husband Paul M. Kugler of Bridgeport, Nebraska after 51 years of marriage. Jean graduated from Lincoln high school in 1949 and from the nursing program at Bryan Memorial Hospital as a RN in 1952 after attending Nebraska Wesleyan University. Jean worked in Denver at St. Anthony's hospital and as Nursing Director at Cherry Hills Manor Nursing Home and later with her husband Paul at State Mutual Life. Jean was actively involved in her church community at Foothills Bible Church as well as with Precept Ministries and Bible Study Fellowship. Jean had a servant's heart, and was on the Board of Directors of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, as well as volunteering for "Days for Girls" where she sewed products for girls in third world countries. Jean was faithful, compassionate and loved her family, friends, and neighbors unconditionally. She is survived by her three children Nancy Harwood of Loveland, Colo., Steve (Janis) Kugler of Littleton, Colo., and Bruce (Mindy) Kugler of Ken Caryl, Colo., as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation Sunday, Nov. 6th at 5-7 pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel. Funeral Service Mon,. Nov. 7th at 9:30 am at Foothills Bible Church at C-470 and Bowles. She will be laid to rest with her husband at 1 pm on Nov. 7th at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
