Gerald Thomas Shanley

Gerald T. Shanley, 90, of Broadalbin, New York and Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2022 in Sarasota, Florida. Gerald was born in Troy, New York on September 28, 1932 to the late James Shanley and Agnes (Lucey) Shanley Burns. On May 11, 1963 , Gerald was united in marriage to Sylvia Zimmer. Jerry and Syliva enjoyed 53 years together including 29 years of retirement at their homes in North Fort Myers, Florida and Broadalbin, New York until Sylvia's passing on February 22, 2017. He is survived by his son, David (Rebecca) Shanley, brothers, Owen Shanley and James Shanley; and many nieces, nephews and, cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Agnes, siblings, John Shanley, Eugene Shanley, Robert Burns, William Burns, and Elizabeth Koberger
