Gerald H. Parrett passed away on January 14, 2021 at Lakeview Terrace in Boulder CIty, NV following a hard fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his doting wife of 38 years, Abigail, his son, Darryl, two step-children, Yvonne and Hector, as well as his five adoring grandchildren and great-grandson.
Gerald was born on June 7, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. He had a distinguished career of dedicated public service, both as a veteran of the United States Army and retired member of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Gerald and Abigail spent the better part of their golden years exploring every corner of the country before settling down to build their dream home in Boulder City, which stands as a testament to Gerald's unwavering love for Abigail. Gerald was a model husband, father and grandfather, serving as the patriarch for multiple generations, and devoting his life to the happiness of his wife and all of his family members. Both he and Abigail were devout Jehovah's Witnesses, regularly volunteering their time to help others and spread the word of love.
Gerald was the epitome of selflessness and a champion for those that could not fight for themselves. Just like the classical era cars that he was so fond of, they just simply do not make men like Gerald anymore. The family thanks everyone for their well wishes and celebration of the incredible person that Gerald was and always will be.
