Loving and devoted husband, Gerald Anthony Long, age 79, passed away at home after a long battle with cancer on January 18, 2022 in Palm City, Florida. Gerry was born January 10, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. John's University. He also completed executive programs at Northeastern Graduate School of Business and the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Gerry began his professional life at Pan American Airways and progressed throughout his career with Babcock & Wilcox, Roadway, and Caliber Technology, from which he retired as President.
In retirement, Gerry volunteered in the community along with trying to become a better golfer. The home of Gerry and Judy would not have been complete without their loyal and loving dogs who continually enhanced their abode.
Gerry is survived by his loving and supportive wife Judy. He is also survived by his brother, Charles E. Long of Vero Beach, Fl. He was predeceased by his five other siblings: John F. Long, SJ, Stephen Long, Lorraine Roell, Ralph Long, Bernard Long. He is fondly remembered by his entire extended family.
