Georgios "George" Kitsis, 87, of Manchester, NH, died June 8, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family, at Courville Manchester, after a period of declining health.
Born in Fourka, Greece on July 15, 1934, he was the son of Dimitrios and Agnes (Maranis) Kitsis. He immigrated to Manchester, NH, in July of 1966, with his wife and children.
George was a gifted master carpenter, and built many beautiful custom homes for friends and family. He was extremely talented in finish carpentry.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose family was the center of his life. George will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing this remarkable man. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of friends and family members.
Family members include his wife of sixty-seven years, Zoitsa (Giotas) Kitsis; a daughter, Christina Samaras and her husband, Dimitrios; a son, Deno Kitsis and his wife, Nicky Kitsis; five grandchildren, Christos, Maria, George, Angelica, and Christina; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Dimitri; two siblings, Panagiotis Kitsis and Spiros Kitsis.
Services: Calling hours are Monday, June 13, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the cathedral.
Burial will proceed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
